Haylee and I grew up in the same small town. So when she approached me at the annual summer town celebration about wedding flowers, I was over the moon! Wine + blush is a popular color scheme, but Haylee introduced some ideas that were so unique and alluring that I couldn’t stop thinking about her wedding day. I loved how the atypical greenery, exotic blooms, and pheasant feathers looked with some of the more traditional flowers used in weddings. The weather was perfect on her wedding day. There were endless clear blue skies during the ceremony. The reception had the aura of a dreamy, late-summer night in the country. I lingered at the reception for a while talking with old neighbors and friends. Gavin Vanderbeek was their wedding photographer. He did an excellent job capturing the day! I look forward to working with him in the future.
